As a Home Furnishings & Design Specialist, you will deliver exceptional customer service by helping customers create functional, organized, and aesthetically pleasing living spaces that reflect MUJI’s philosophy of simplicity, quality, and thoughtful living.

You will guide customers through product selection, space planning, and home organization solutions, from initial consultation through to purchase. You will build strong customer relationships, identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience, and support sales growth through expert product knowledge and personalized recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide customers with home furnishing, storage, and lifestyle solutions tailored to their needs.
• Conduct in-store consultations and support customers with room planning and product selection.
• Create inspiring presentations and recommendations using product displays, mood boards, layouts, and visual merchandising tools.
• Drive sales by recommending complementary products and complete lifestyle solutions.
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through excellent service and follow-up.
• Collaborate closely with store management and colleagues to maximize business opportunities and deliver a seamless customer experience.
• Support promotional events, workshops, and in-store activations.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales records where required.
• Stay up to date with product knowledge, market trends, and MUJI brand standards.
• Take ownership of personal development and continuously enhance consultation and selling skills.

Qualifications & Requirements:

You will have/be:

• At least 2 years of retail, home furnishing, interior design, visual merchandising, or customer consultation experience.
• A passion for creating functional and inspiring living spaces.
• Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• The ability to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Experience in customer-facing consultations and active selling.
• Good attention to detail and visual presentation standards.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with design software (such as CAD or space-planning tools) would be an advantage but is not essential.
