Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Storage and Backup Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in managing and maintaining storage and backup systems, ensuring data integrity, availability, and security. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage storage and backup solutions to meet the organization’s data protection and recovery requirements.

Monitor and maintain storage systems, ensuring optimal performance and availability.

Perform regular backups, data replication, and disaster recovery testing.

Troubleshoot and resolve storage and backup-related issues in a timely manner.

Collaborate with IT teams to develop and implement data retention policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for data storage and backup.

Maintain documentation of storage and backup configurations, processes, and procedures.

Provide technical support and guidance to other IT team members and end-users.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2-5 years of experience in storage and backup management.

Proficiency in storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, and DAS , Dell EMC storage

Experience with backup software and tools (e.g.,  Veeam , Networker , Data Domain).

Strong understanding of data protection, replication, and disaster recovery concepts.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant certifications (e.g., EMC, NetApp, Veritas).

Experience with cloud storage solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).

Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
