Job Summary:
The IT Procurement Supervisor will oversee the procurement and distribution of the organization equipment, supplies and services.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to optimize purchasing activities and achieve cost savings while meeting quality and delivery requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs, forecast demand, and develop procurement plans accordingly.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors based on price, quality, reliability, and delivery performance.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favourable pricing and contractual agreements.
- Monitor and analyse market trends, supplier performance, and product specifications to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Manage the purchase order process, ensuring accurate and timely purchase order creation, issuance, and tracking.
- Oversee the supplier evaluation and qualification process, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards.
- Resolve supplier-related issues, including disputes, quality concerns, delivery delays, and payment discrepancies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and Audit, to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the procurement process.
- Supervise and provide guidance to the purchasing team, including training, performance evaluation, and professional development initiatives.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Thorough understanding of purchasing procedures and policies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
- Proficiency in cost analysis and procurement forecasting.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
- Ability to read, interpret, and explain policies and procedures used in purchasing.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in related field required.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CPP, CSCP, CIPS,) is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suits, Power BI, and Oracle Fusion Procurement software.
