2. Role Overview and Responsibilities: 

We are hiring a Senior Data Analytics Manager reporting to the Head of Data Analytics & Data Science. As both a team leader and an individual contributor, develop and deliver value from data combining leadership, technical expertise, commercial thinking, and storytelling to shape decisions across the business. 

2A. The Senior Manager will:  

  • Manage day-to-day of a team of Insights Managers that will look after group performance and loyalty insights, including performance reviews, mentoring, and professional development. 

  • Assist the Senior Group Performance and Loyalty Insights Managers in bringing their vision and strategy to life. 

  • Provide objective, effective analysis and recommendations for Group Performance / Loyalty Initiatives (Aura Program) across all Divisions in the business. 

  • Proactively utilize data and analytics to find opportunities, extract insights, and provide recommendations to various stakeholders and cross-functional Teams. 

  • Track, measure, and analyze key growth metrics on a periodic basis to understand trends and facilitate data-driven decision making. 

  • Ability to set up analytics frameworks to measure incrementality and measure true performance and customer growth. 

  • Merge internal and external insights to create meaningful stories. 

 2B. Key Stakeholders:   

  • Adds direct value to: Brand Marketing Leaders, Business Directors, E-Commerce Team, Loyalty Team, and Customer Market Knowledge Team  

  • Works with: Data & Analytics community (Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists etc.), Brand Marketing Managers, Loyalty Team. 

 

3. Job Requirements:  

3A. Experience:  

  • 8+ years of related work experience in an analytical role with quantitative analysis. Experience ideally in Retail or the CPG industry, with a background in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or Data Science would be an asset. 

  • Solid understanding of customer segmentation, analytical frameworks, performance measurement, commercial analytics, and Loyalty program analysis. 

  • Solid understanding of the retail business, client marketing as well as supply chain management and analytics. 

  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into insights. Has strong analytical knowledge and problem-solving approach. 

  • Demonstrated strong business sense and passion for being customer-centric. 

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to story-tell effectively using data. 

  • Comfortable working in a professional environment and interacting with multiple levels within the organization. 

 3B. Key Skills Requirements:  

  • Business Analysis: Utilizing data & analytics to identify opportunities and provide business recommendations that help boost Brand, Division, or Loyalty program performance, and help guide strategic initiatives. 

  • Technical Skills: Highly competent in SQL, Excel, Microsoft Power BI, and PowerPoint. Experience with Databricks, Python, and any other programming languages or data science solutions is recommended. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus. 

  • Soft Skills: Ability to collaborate with multiple cross-functional Teams in the business. Excellent communication skills and the ability to story-tell effectively using data. 

 3C. Technical Knowledge:  

  • Highly competent in SQL, Microsoft Power BI. Familiarity with Databricks, Python, or any Data Science solution is an asset. 

  • Comfortable manipulating large data sets in Excel. 

  • Proficient in PowerPoint presentations. 

  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is an asset. 

 3D. Behaviour:
