Change Manager - IT - Kuwait

Role Profile: The Change Manager is responsible for managing the change queue and ensuring changes are made efficiently, with minimum risk to the organization. The Change Manager has a duty to protect the IT systems of the organization, ensuring the changes that are made do not present an unacceptable risk. He or she must look for conflicts in active changes and determine the most appropriate time to commit changes to the production systems. The Change Manager is responsible for managing the lifecycle of all changes, with the primary responsibility of enabling beneficial changes to be made with minimal disruption to the business. A Change Manager will play a key role in ensuring projects (change initiatives) meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage. This person will focus on the changes to business processes, systems and technology.

Job Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with ITIL service management implementation specifically around change and release management
  • 5+ years of experience supporting software development
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Business Management, preferred
  • Able to work well with all levels of professionals in an organization
  • Excellent active listening, root cause identification and interpersonal skills
  • Good team player and able to operate independently
  • Proficient in spreadsheet tools to analyze data and build reports
  • IT Service Management experience, ideally as a certified Change Manager
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL processes, with experience working with Change Management, Incident Management and Problem Management, ideally in a regulated environment
  • Technical Project/Program Management experience, IT Operations or Technical Support experience
  • Broad experience of IT infrastructure and applications
  • 3+ years strong project management skills with accountability for end-to-end delivery.
  • Experience working with Service Now or JIRA an advantage

Role Responsibilities

  • Leading the change management activities within a structured process framework.
  • Designing the strategic approach to managing change and support operations that fall within the domain of change management.
  • Evaluating the change impact and organizational readiness to limit potential risk.
  • Evaluating the risk of change and providing actionable guidelines on reducing the impact.
  • Setup and chair the Change Advisory Board (CAB) and (eCAB) meetings where IT changes will be reviewed, authorized and scheduled
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess the decisions and performance related to the change request.
  • Ensure that changes are recorded and then evaluated, authorized, prioritized, planned, tested, implemented, documented and reviewed in a controlled manner
  • Implement change management strategy depending on a situational awareness of the detailed change and the groups being affected by the change.
  • Manage high risk changes ‘end to end’ on various IT infrastructure, platforms & applications of the Company.
