eCommerce is an exciting new support function within Alshaya as the business launches transactional websites for a number of the 75+ brands and 15+ countries within the Alshaya portfolio. The function is rapidly building Alshaya’s multi-channel capability to deliver customers’ choice and convenience when shopping in a number of rapidly growing online emerging markets. The function is split in to 4 key areas – Trading & Merchandising, Operations & Program Management, Design & Content and Digital Marketing.

Digital analytics subject matter expert for the Central eCommerce division. Responsible for our tracking and implementation of analytical tools across our web and app properties. Will deliver actionable insights and recommendations that supports continuous improvement to onsite merchandising, customer experience and journey as well as optimizing customer acquisition, conversion and retention. The successful candidate will build and execute a plan which will reflect the developing eco system with the Google tracking suite. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of eCommerce digital analytics at a rapidly growing digital eCommerce business. 


  • This position is the subject matter expert for the Digital Analytics which includes – GA4, GTM, GA360, Firebase, Adjust etc. You will be expected to implement configurations, perform audits, validations and provide working sessions and will use & educate on best practices. 

  • App is a growing platform for us. We need you to prepare a analytics framework to track common events across ecommerce mobile apps and work with developers to get them implemented and validated. You will own the entire app analytics project. 

  • Own and validate the Web analytics implementation for all brands. We have GA360 stack so you need to have experience of implementing GA360 for eCommerce clients and have an understanding of how eCommerce data adds value for business users. 

  • We will launch GA4 soon, so you will work with multiple stakeholders in defining and validating the Data layer requirements and implementing the solution. 

  • We are looking for Product analytics mindset who can proactively generate data driven insights for eCommerce using GA, Bigquery etc.  

  • Develop a program of prioritised in-depth custom reports to communicate key metrics, insight, conclusions and recommendations to the business. 

  • Brainstorm and collaborate with Data Science Team to implement machine learning models such as CLTV, RFM etc. 

  • Responsible for ensuring a quality driven UAT approach and providing support for pre-release testing and quality assurance feedback for analytic code implementations 

  • The candidate must be articulate, be able to communicate with management, raise issues and risks quickly, and help develop solutions effectively and openly. 

  • Responsible for cascading knowledge of web analytic tool product development and web analytics trends / best practices to the business.  

  • Create informative and well-organized presentations that contribute to overall business needs and goals. 



  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Math, Computer Science or related field. 

  • 4+ years’ experience in tagging and implementation including GA360, MMP, GA4, MarTech players. 

  • Solid experience of working with Google Analytics expertise (Google Analytics 360/Premium, GA4, Data Studio & Big Query would be advantageous). 

  • Experience of app analytics platforms is a must - Firebase and Adjust/Appsflyer 

  • An understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript is required. 

  • You are comfortable in writing complex SQL queries including Joins, nested functions(have worked on GA360 dataset in Bigquery – we would love to hear this!) 

  • Coding capabilities in R or Python would be preferred.  

  • Experience of implementing Machine Learning models/knowledge of Machine learning in Digital space will put you ahead in queue however this is not a must have. 

  • Proficient at data visualization (Data Studio, Tableau, or other similar platforms) 

  • Strong track record of managing large scale initiatives and delivering capabilities that drive business growth. 

  • Ideal candidate comes from B2C or ecommerce marketplace business. 

  • You have a strong eye for detail and able to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels – Must have managed multiple stakeholder relationship.
