Overview:

Working as an Operations Manager for Alshaya gives you the opportunity to work with a dynamic, performance-focused team in a region where the retail industry is thriving. In recent years there has been a strategic plan of growth; new stores in existing markets, existing brands to new markets and new brands to existing markets. And the plan continues.

This is a hands-on role and as such, the expectation for the successful candidate is that they will be spending a vast majority of their time on the floor in the operations. In this role, you will be responsible for achieving all business plan targets, actively contributing to new store openings and identifying opportunities for employee and business development across a region – a region which may include multiple countries. 

This role will be overlooking three Lebanese dining concepts to include Babel, BeBabel and Ahweit Zeituna with operations in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. International multi-market experience is required, ideally in the GCC.

Person Requirements:

  • 7+ years running high volume/high revenue restaurants is essential
  • Experience working in the Middle East, either current or previous managing highly diverse teams
  • Strong commercial acumen/awareness is essential
  • The ability to adapt to challenging situations and deliver successful outcomes
  • Culinary knowledge would be a distinct advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build successful, lasting relationships
  • Proven experience as a strong leader, preferably managing large teams remotely
