Role Profile

  • Technical Test Manager (Architect) role is a purely handson technical role within Testing function that helps define and implement the automated solutions within functional and non-functional areas. 
  • He/She will understand the overall system landscape, perform POCs, help implement automated framework and institutionalise the same across the Programme divisions. 

 

 

Key Performance Areas (but not limited to)

  • Perform Proof-of-Concept exercise of the tools across the different Alshaya systems and help define the Automation framework. 
  • Define and implement the automated framework in CI-CD platform covering both the functional and non-functional areas. 
  • Work closely with the Test leadership group in implementing the automated framework across the different projects and programmes and help reduce the manual testing effort without compromising on the test coverage. 
  • Continuously improve and mature the framework as a part of Testing-CoE and institutionalise the same. 
  • Work closely with the Technical teams such as Architecture, Engineering (development and Performance) and Data, and help implement testing in a Shift-left model from E2E perspective. 
  • Strategise and implement the Test Environment and Test Data management practices. 
  • Work closely with the operations team to identify the Use cases that created issues in the Production environment and facilitate building these cases in the test environments. 
  • Work closely with the Test leadership group to augment the technical testing capability within Alshaya Testing function (internal/new-hire) in an onshore-offshore model. 

 

Knowledge & Experience: 

  • A track record of working in a Senior/Lead Test Architect role who believes in Testing fundamentals and practicing the same. 
  • Working experience in a Testing-CoE model. 
  • Strong working experience in defining and implementing the automation frameworks across (but not limited to) 2-Tier apps, Web, Mobile apps, API, Analytics, ETL, Data 
  • Sound technical knowledge on any of OOPS language such as, Java, C# or Python. 
  • Solid working experience with tools such as TOSCA and its plugins, Selenium toolsets, Appium, Browser/Mobile cloud platforms such as Browserstack, Bit bar, pCloudy, Headspin. 
  • Sound knowledge of CI tools such as Jenkins/Git/Gitlab 
  • Working experience in automating complex solutions involving heavy dependency on the API and Database to Database calls. 
  • Good understanding of Performance tools (testing & monitoring) such as Jmeter, Load Runner, Blazemeter, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Microsoft Azure in a CI-CD platform.  

Skills: 

  • Solid fundamentals on the Testing concepts – manual and technical  
  • Strong Technical Testing personnel having a pragmatic mindset of Testing in an effective manner. 
  • Personnel who has experienced working in a “from Form to Transform” stages of an IT Transformation programmes. 
  • A strong believer in concept proofing and implementing the solutions. 
  • Able to communicate with all levels of management, team, vendors and peers within the organisation. 
  • Have good inter-personal skills and working experience in a matrix based organisation. 
  • A professional, mature and presentable in approach, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
