Job Profile: 

Forms part of team of executives and copywriters who support our external communications goals of enhancing the Alshaya brand and corporate reputation – directly and through the PR activities of our brands.  Focused on delivering a positive flow of corporate news and information to external stakeholders, providing a robust media relations/editorial content review infrastructure for the business, ensuring effective community management for our corporate social media channels and supporting on issues management through effective monitoring.


Key Performance Areas:

Work as part of a team of executives and copywriters to support delivery of the department’s annual plan – with team responsibilities that include the following:

  • Contribute to Alshaya’s Corporate Content calendar - developing /placing editorial stories which reinforce Alshaya’s growth story and enhance its reputation – all channels (English and Arabic)
  • Collaborate closely with internal comms and CMC colleagues to optimise impact of messaging
  • Build media relationships and effectively handle inbound media enquiries
  • Create / upload engaging content to Alshaya corporate channels (inc. Website, Facebook, Instagram) – working with graphics team where necessary
  • Provide support (media handling, copywriting, brand liaison, etc) on major PR events and CSR activity
  • Act as member of core content team, providing timely, effective and customer-centric review service to brands in English and Arabic within target SLA and Alshaya guidelines (standards and processes)
  • Build relationships with brand teams, providing advice, ideas and coaching to drive editorial reach and impact 
  • Review and clear PR agency briefs (approach, messages, price) and assess agency performance in partnership with brand teams
  • Proactive community management for our corporate social media channels (external and internal), tracking and responding to comments
  • Monitoring corporate and brand social media pages to identify, assess and flag emerging issues; provide regular reports and update to support planning and issues management

Effective tracking and reporting to support performance evaluation and drive actionable insights (media, social media, web, SLAs, etc)
